Die New Yorker Death-Metal-Giganten IMMOLATION sind stolz darauf, ihr neuestes Werk „Acts Of God“ anzukündigen, das am 18. Februar 2022 erscheinen wird. Das 11. Studioalbum ist das nächste Kapitel in IMMOLATIONs Death-Metal-Epos.
Fünf lange Jahre sind seit Atonement vergangen, und Acts Of God stellt IMMOLATIONs Fähigkeit unter Beweis, immer wieder faszinierende Klänge zu kreieren, während sie immer noch fest im New Yorker Death Metal der alten Schule verwurzelt sind, für den sie bekannt sind.
Heute bietet die Band ihren Fans die erste Single des Albums, „Apostle“. Das Video wurde von Robert Vigna produziert, inszeniert und geschnitten und kann hier angesehen werden:

„After 5 long years, we are very excited to finally announce the arrival of our 11th full-length album Acts of God on February 18th, 2022! This time around, we have 15 tracks of some of the darkest and most haunting Immolation material to date! For the first single, we chose the song ‚Apostle‘ because it’s a very dark song that offers the listener all the elements of the IMMOLATION sound. It’s a heavy and explosive track that ebbs and flows from start to finish, with dark and creepy soundscapes and extreme bursts of dark energy that will take the listener on a dark journey that is just a small glimpse of what the album has to offer. Enjoy!”
Acts Of God sah die Rückkehr des langjährigen Freundes und Aufnahmepartners Paul Orofino von den Millbrook Studios (BLUE OYSTER CULT, BAD CO, GOLDEN EARRING), während Zack Ohren von den Castle Ultimate Studios dem Mix und Mastering den letzten Schliff gab. Für das Cover-Artwork holte sich die Band Eliran Kantor ins Boot, um ein eindringliches neues Meisterwerk zu schaffen, das die gedämpften Farben und ätherischen Bilder enthält, die für IMMOLATIONs Artwork charakteristisch sind. Die Artworks im Inneren des Booklets wurden von Santiago Jaramillo von Triple Seis Design gestaltet.
