„‚Magno Interitus‘ written while the pandemic was at its highest and everything seemed like it was going to collapse around us. Politicians still just serving their own best interests, peaceful protests having what are essentially war crimes committed against them, all while the impending threat of global destruction due to rapid climate changes, seems to be downplayed severely or outright ignored by those in power. The track is three and a half minutes of pure vitriol spewed in the face of those who dare to try and ignore the great decay that is happening right before our eyes and all around us. To really make the track stand out as much as possible we elicited the help from one of our favourite vocalists; Joe Bad of the amazing Fit For an Autopsy.

CABAL ist eine der brutalsten und vielversprechendsten Heavy-Bands aus Kopenhagen, Dänemark. Die Band zielt darauf ab, sowohl mit ihrer Musik als auch mit ihrem visuellen Ausdruck eine eindringliche und doomige Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Die Produktion ist kristallklar, während das Songwriting von Black und Death Metal bis hin zu Djent und Hardcore inspiriert ist.
Seit der Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums „Mark of Rot“ im Jahr 2018 hat es die junge Band geschafft, sich sowohl in Dänemark als auch im Rest der Welt einen Namen zu machen, indem sie auf renommierten Festivals wie Copenhell, Roskilde Festival, Euroblast Festival und Complexity Fest gespielt und in Europa, Japan und Nordamerika getourt hat.
Im April 2020 veröffentlichten CABAL ihr zweites Album „Drag Me Down“ – ein düsterer Abstieg in eine persönliche Hölle, die durch erdrückende Instrumentals, eine beklemmende Atmosphäre und dunkle, persönliche Texte mit unerbittlicher Intensität zum Leben erweckt wird, während immer noch Raum für Experimente und die Erweiterung von CABALs charakteristischem Sound bleibt. Hinzu kommen Gastauftritte von Matt Heafy von den Metal-Titanen TRIVIUM, Jamie Hails von den aufstrebenden Metalcore-Stars POLARIS und Kim Song Sternkopf von den dänischen Blackgaze-Lieblingen MØL, und es besteht kein Zweifel, dass CABAL eine Band ist, die in jeder Ecke der Metal-Szene Freunde hat.
