CATTLE DECAPITATION feiern das zweijährige Jubiläum ihres zehnten Studioalbums „Terrasite“ mit einer zweistündigen Doku über den Entstehungsprozess: „From This Flesh: A Cattle Decapitation Story“.
Der Film wurde vom australischen Videografen Nicholas VanVidler gedreht, geschnitten und produziert – er zeichnete bereits 2021 für das Musikvideo zu „Finish Them“ verantwortlich. VanVidler begleitete den gesamten Aufnahmeprozess von „Terrasite“ von Anfang bis Ende und hat in den letzten zwei Jahren das umfangreiche Material zu einem Film zusammengesetzt. Die Dokumentation feiert nicht nur das Album selbst, sondern beleuchtet dabei auch unbeabsichtigt die Bandgeschichte von den Anfängen bis heute.

Auch wenn viele Bands es versuchen, so bringt doch keine das wahre Ausmaß der Apokalypse, mit der die Menschheit konfrontiert ist, so eindrucksvoll und präzise auf den Punkt wie CATTLE DECAPITATION. Mit „Death Atlas“ (2019) erreichten sie den Höhepunkt dieser Vision – vielleicht glaubten manche, danach gäbe es keinen weiteren Weg. Doch 2023 kehrte die Band mit „Terrasite“ zurück – einem Werk, das so kompromisslos und kraftvoll ist wie alles, was sie je geschaffen haben. Ein Album, das ständig die Dynamik wechselt und eine Vielzahl emotionaler Reaktionen herausfordert.
