Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2014 und der Veröffentlichung ihrer ersten EP, Tsukuyomi, hat DISTANT zwei Studioalben, Tyrannotophia (2019) und Aeons of Oblivion (2021), sowie zwei EPs, Dawn of Corruption (2020) und Dusk of Anguish (2021), veröffentlicht. Darüber hinaus hat DISTANT die Grenzen des Deathcore durchbrochen, indem sie ihr eigenes Universum geschaffen und den fiktiven Roman The Rise of Tyrannotophia in den Mix eingefügt haben, der Aeons of Oblivion begleitet. Nun kehren sie 2022 mit einem neuen Labelpartner (Century Media Records) und zwei eigenständigen Singles zurück: „Exofilth“ und „Human Scum“.
