Das Death Metal / Hardcore Gespann VENOM PRISON aus England haben mit „Erebos“ ein neues Album angekündigt und zeigen euch nun das Artwork.
Für das ikonische Cover ihres kommenden Albums „Erebos“ haben sich die britischen VENOM PRISON erneut mit dem renommierten Künstler Eliran Kantor zusammengetan. „Erebos“ wird am 4. Februar 2022 weltweit erscheinen.

“Being able to work with our dear friend Eliran on another piece of art for VENOM PRISON has been exciting as always. Kantor knows the band perfectly well to capture our music and poetry into a visual masterpiece every single time. ‘Erebos’ was a personal one for both Eliran Kantor and ourselves. This artwork captures the moment a young person dies inside as they are surrounded by horror. In the moment their innocence is lost and desensitisation will from now on fuel the repetition of the cycle of violence in their life. This is ‘Erebos’ the one born from chaos.”

VENOM PRISON haben sich im Laufe von zwei Alben, „Animus“ (2016) und „Samsara“ (2019), einen kompromisslosen Platz geschaffen. Das 2020er Album „Primeval“ belebt die früheren EPs der Band mit zwei neu geschriebenen Tracks neu. Was als explosive Kollaboration zwischen der russischstämmigen Sängerin Larissa Stupar und dem Gitarristen Ash Gray begann (mit Gitarrist Ben Thomas, Bassist Mike Jefferies und Schlagzeuger Joe Bills), hat sich zu einer Kraft entwickelt, mit der man rechnen muss, da sie sowohl textlich als auch musikalisch bissig und unverblümt sind.
