Die Extreme-Tech Death Metal Freaks von FALLUJAH melden sich mit neuem Album, samt kraftvoller Single „Labyrinth Of Stone“ zurück! Das dazugehörige Album hört auf den Namen „Xenotaph“ und erscheint via Nuclear Blast.

Die Progressive-Death-Metal-Meister FALLUJAH haben die zweite Single „Labyrinth Of Stone“ von ihrem kommenden sechsten Album „Xenotaph“ veröffentlicht, das am 13. Juni über Nuclear Blast Records erscheinen wird.

Scott Carstairs erzählt über die neue Single:

Die Progressive-Death-Metal-Band FALLUJAH erweitert mit ihrem neuen Album „Xenotaph“ über Nuclear Blast ihren Horizont und festigt ihren Status als eine der aufregendsten amerikanischen Bands. Das Quintett baut auf das erfolgreiche Line-up, das bereits das Vorgängeralbum „Empyrean“ (2022) zu einem vollen Erfolg gemacht hat – gefeiert von Metal Injection, New Noise und Guitar World. Mit einer leicht angepassten Besetzung bringen nun Gitarrist Sam Mooradian (INHALE EXISTENCE, SAM MOORADIAN) und Schlagzeuger Kevin Alexander (DISEMBODIED TYRANT, BROUGHT BY PAIN) ihre beeindruckende Musikalität ein, während Sänger Kyle Schaefer, Gitarrist Scott Carstairs und Bassist Evan Brewer mit FALLUJAH in ein neues Kapitel aufbrechen. Verankert durch die Singles „Kaleidoscopic Waves“, „Labyrinth Of Stone“ und „Step Through The Portal And Breathe“ steht „Xenotaph“ wie kein anderes für FALLUJAH – neu belebt und neu gedacht.

„Xenotaph“ wurde von FALLUJAH produziert, von Dave Otero (CATTLE DECAPITATION, ARCHSPIRE) und Mike Low (VITRIOL, ABORTED) in den Flatline Audio Studios in Denver, Colorado, und den Top Track Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, aufgenommen. Otero übernahm außerdem Mix und Mastering. Das Ziel war klar: eine klangliche Weiterentwicklung, die auf „Empyrean“ aufbaut, einem der bisher stärksten Werke der Band. Im Fokus standen dabei die Präzision des Tempos, das ausgeklügelte Songwriting, die harmonischen Leads und die unvergleichliche Intensität – ein Gesamterlebnis, das die Hörer tief in die musikalische und konzeptuelle Welt von „Xenotaph“ eintauchen lässt.

Neben der Veröffentlichung von „Xenotaph“ plant FALLUJAH bereits die nächste Tour, gestützt auf den Erfolg der „Empyrean“-Shows. Wer die Band zuletzt live erlebt hat, konnte bereits erste Songs vom neuen Album hören – darunter die glitzernde Prog-Dynamik und die innerweltliche Düsternis von „The Obsidian Architect“.
